NO TO BULLYING

Bullying is an issue that has plagued the world since time immemorial. I will admit to being guilty of it as well as being a victim of it. I am now pledging to my readers that I will strive to not make this the case anymore.
I have accepted that I cannot be everywhere to help stand up for those who are victims of this so-called “petty oppression", but what I can do is write. So to those of you feeling alone in any kind of situation due to bullying, please consider this my way of reaching out to you.
I wrote this as a status post, and I am sharing its image in order to let you all know that you are not alone in facing whatever misdeeds or unfair actions come your way because of these people who find it amusing to demean or threaten you. Take heart! <3 And I send my love to you across the miles.

Snacktime: Cupcakes.

Had to go to Makati last Friday with Mom. Thought we'd make the most of the trip, so I surprised her with a snack treat to Cupcakes by Sonja. It's a cupcake joint that was highly recommended by one of my favorite fashion bloggers: Miss Tricia Gosingtian

Feast your eyes! This is what Mom and I had for our pre-shopping munchtime: the Red Velvet Vixen.

I even caught Mom sneaking some icing off of my cupcake when she was done eating hers. That's how great these babies taste! Velvety-smooth, plus rich flavor!

Check out this sweet Chocolate-Cheesecake Swirl cupcake that Mom decided to bring home. I got a taste of it when she had one of her daily doses of coffee. The layers of chocolate and cheese blend well! (Don't think about the calories!)

Their take-home bags are simple and environment friendly. I like how dainty they make you feel while you carry them around.

Breakfast Noms

Here we have another breakfast conversation between me and Harrod. Believe me, when Mom broke out the smoked ham and special cheese and crackers, I was for going all out and making a hearty meal! (Hence the slightly burnt pesto bread I added to the menu). It was fun watching the colored mini-marshmallows melt in my morning mug of hot chocolate.

See this array of tasty noms? I am so glad that the ham was the cold-cut kind!

This is me teaching  my dear teddy how to make an hors d'ouevres sandwich:

But he had a different opinion...

He had a point. Maybe when I get the chance, I'll make mini pepperoni pizzas with those tortilla wrappers I get at supermarkets.
